Statistical data of video in YouTube

This figure shows two kinds of visualizations that presents some statistical data about the views of an Old Spice's commerical at YouTube. One is a simple line graph which shows the amount of views since January 31, 2011. It reveals increasing number of views by the up going line. It also uses tags to show some significant discovery events in which I think it is not very interesting. I think this line graph is rather simple, because it can only present limit information. The second one, which is more informative in comparison, is a world map that shows countries that have more views. It utilizes the tones of color to show the video's popularity. From the map, we can easily see that the video is most popular in North America countries, because the color at these countries is the darkest. The use of color in this world map has not only created the distinction of the countries that have views, but also created the color contrast that shows the video's popularity in each country.
