Earthquakes, &etc

Following along with our recent stream of geographically-related visualizations, and in honor of the impending catastrophic worldwide earthquake set to bring about the end of the world in less than 50 minutes (or so they say), I present you with the USGS visualization of the latest earthquakes in the world.

I like this visualization because it succinctly gives a sense of time (via the color of squares), location (through placement on the globe) and magnitude (size of squares).

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to monitor the end of the world.
